Laboratory 2: Retrograde Motion


This is the same data as in table 1 in laboratory 2 but in decimal form. Use this table for plotting in Excel or other spreadsheet. Drag and click to highlight all the terms in the three columns. Copy, then paste into Excel.

Mac users

paste the data in the Excel spreadsheet.

Windows users

choose 'paste special/unicode text' from the 'edit' menu.

Choose 'chart' from the menu and choose "scatter" as chart type. Follow Excel instructions from there. If you can't make the graph look like a loop, try here first. If you can't get it to work email me for further help.


The data in the table may not appear to be aligned, but it will look right when it is pasted into the Excel spreadsheet.
