The Health and Safety Emergency Planning Subcommittee is an adhoc committee consisting of faculty and staff that originated in October 2005.
The subcommittee's short-term objectives are:The intent of this website is to assist subcommittee members with managing the voluminous amounts of reading and other vital information in a more organized format to help with retrieval for reference as well as keeping subcommittee members abreast with latest developments in specific areas being addressed.
Because of the arduous task in compiling a more comprehensive emergency plan, subcommittee members are encouraged to send documents-in-progress to be posted to hseps-l@hcc.hawaii.edu requesting that they be posted for feedback. Members can that edit documents directly onto their own computer for greater ease in making process smoother.
Except for some official documents already published, all emergency planning documents contained within this website are to be considered "DRAFT" documents unless noted to be a final document. These "DRAFT" documents are not to be considered official documents to be followed in the event of an emergency. Official UH System Emergency Operation Plan (see below) and HCC Emergency Procedures on Intranet should be followed in the event of a campus emergency.

Ohana Resource Kit a.k.a. the "Grab-n-Go" workshop by Annie Au Hoon of the Honolulu Advisory Council's Ho`owaiwai na kamali'i (February 8, 2007) and followed by viewing of personal emergency kits by Clara Iwata, Nick Harris, Jon Blumhardt, and others. Theme of activity was for all individuals on campus to be pro-active and have a personal emergency it that they can pick up and take with them in case of an emergency. Coordinated by Sheryl Legaspi.
