College Achievement and Retention Experience (C.A.R.E.)

Computer Lab

  • Open from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Mondays - Thursdays and 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Fridays
  • Use is limited to HonCC students, staff, and faculty
  • The Computer Lab will be limited to maintain social distancing and available for 90 minutes per session.

Construction Academy

Currently scheduled to reopen on April 7, 2020. The Academy will follow the Hawaiʻi Department of Education's calendar.

Early College Classes

HonCC Early College classes will resume on Monday, March 30 via remote learning with the exception of the Welding classes at Waipahu High School and Farrington High School. Please contact your instructor for additional details.

Financial Aid

  • Processing of financial aid applications and documents will continue.

Food Service

The cafeteria (Honolulu Kitchen) and The Hub will be closed until further notice.

Graduation

  • Traditional ceremony scheduled in May has been cancelled.
  • Students may continue to apply for graduation. Please be sure your mailing information is correct when you submit your application.
  • We will still process applications for graduation, grant degrees/certificates and students may participate in future ceremonies.
  • We are also planning on celebrating our graduates in other ways. Additional details to follow soon.

Testing and Tutoring

Testing Center:

  • Honolulu Community College's Testing Center will continue to support HonCC students with modified services.
  • The Honolulu Community College Testing Center will be available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY for individual students who have been granted an exception and who are registered in a Honolulu Community College Course.
  • All instructors need to submit their testing request 2 days prior to exam date to honccdet-l@lists.hawaii.edu. All test requests will be limited to a maximum time limit of 2 hours.
  • HonCC Students are required to make an appointment 24 hours or more prior to their test time as space is limited. For student test appointments, students need to contact us at the HonCC Testing Center: (808) 845-9130 or E-Mail: honccdet-l@lists.hawaii.edu.
  • Placement testing has been temporarily suspended until further notice. We encourage students to submit SAT, ACT, SBAC or HiSET scores or your high school transcripts. Please use the Self-Report Form to report these scores.

Travel
