#### MATH 203 - Calculus For Business And Social Sciences

- Prerequisite: "C" or higher in MATH 135 or Placement in MATH 140
- Recommended Prep: Math prerequisites should be completed within the last two (2) years.

Basic concepts; differentiation and integration; applications to management, finance, economics, and the social sciences.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of MATH 203, the student will be able to:

- Calculating derivatives and partial derivatives of non-trigometric elementary functions and their sums, products, quotients, and compositions
- Using calculus to perform optimization methods
- Evaluating definite and indefinite integrals by using basic formulas and substitution
- Applying definite and indefinite integrals to business/economic problems
- The basics about functions of more than one variable
- Solving applied problems by using functions of more than one variable
