Did you know that U.S. and Hawai‘i law protects pregnant employees and those experiencing domestic violence? Did you know that new laws recently expanded these protections? Join the experts to find out what you need to know!

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) Assistant Regional Attorney Taylor Markey and Hawai‘i Civil Rights Commission (“HCRC”) Chief Counsel Constance Yonashiro will discuss reasonable accommodations relating to pregnancy and domestic violence under Federal and State law, including the new Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (effective June 27, 2023) and the PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act (effective December 29, 2022). They will also share practical tips about complying with legal requirements in these areas and creating an inclusive work environment.
