HCC FACULTY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Through the ideas and initiation of Bed Paudyal, Instructor, Language Arts, and with the assistance of
the Faculty Development Committee, the Honolulu
Community College Faculty Accomplishments website was launched during the Fall 2013 semester. Faculty
Accomplishments were at one time spotlighted in the Faculty Development Newsletters. These are no longer
published.
The Faculty Accomplishment website is an online platform to post the narrative of faculty
accomplishments. These include:
- A new experiment in teaching and its findings
- Design of a new syllabus, activity or assignment, with an explanation of the rationale behind it
- A grant project won or successfully completed
- A book, research paper or creative work published
- A professional development seminar/workshop/conference attended with a brief narrative of what was
learned
- Leadership in the College, UH System or community
- An outreach or service to the community
These Faculty Accomplishments postings will allow for mutual learning, greater communication and
understanding between departments and divisions, mutual inspiration and increased perception of ourselves
as a dynamic community and easily visible evidence and recognition of faculty work for the viewership of
the wider community.
Faculty Accomplishments will be posted each semester. Click the semester below to view the
accomplishment for that semester.
