Homocentric Spheres of Euxodos

This movie illustrates the homocentric model of Euxodos. We have used "hoops" in this model because it is easier to see their rotation. You might need to convince yourself that a rotating hoop generates a sphere. To see this, set a coin rotating on the tabletop.

This model consists of only two spheres, but it illustrates the way in which the model can create complex motions. In the model, the earth is at the center of the homocentric spheres.
