Library Collections: Media

Media = DVDs, Videotapes, CDs

The library has a limited collection of DVDs, VHS videotapes, and CDs. The majority of titles are specifically related to the curriculum taught on campus. Check for item availability in the Hawaii Voyager online catalog.

Media items are held behind the Circulation Counter and may be checked out by UH students, staff, and faculty for a 7 day loan. Overdue fines are $1.00 per day per item.

DVDs and videotapes in the special Ocean Collection are for library use only. Media players are available and located on the first floor; headsets may be checked out from the Circulation Counter.

Cable Course Videos

Students must be enrolled in the cable course to use the DVD and/or videotape programs. These videos may be viewed in the library, or checked out for a one-day loan.

When a cable course video is checked out, there is...
  • a limit of one video per class
  • no renewals
  • overdue fines of $1.00 per day, maximum of $10.00
To prevent damage, videotapes and DVDs must be returned to the Circulation Counter and not the book return bin. Borrowers are responsible for lost or damaged library materials. Fines and fees will apply.
