Parking Information

Visitors

Entrance to the Visitor Parking Lot (Lot 04) is at the intersection of Alakawa Street and Dillingham Boulevard. Park in the stalls in front of Administration, Building 6, facing Dillingham Boulevard. Parking stalls are marked on the curb and by posted signs. Parking is limited to 60 minutes. Vehicles parked longer than 60 minutes are subject to citation and a $97.00 fine (Failure to heed directions of an official sign). If the visit is anticipated to be longer than 60 minutes, a special parking permit can be purchased at the Cashier's Office, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm at $3.00 for four hours or less and $6.00 for the whole day.

Student, faculty, staff, and general public are not permitted to park in the Visitor's Parking area. These stalls are reserved for prospective students, dignitaries, administrators from other University of Hawaii colleges, and individuals with official business at Honolulu Community College who are not students, faculty, or staff. Vehicles parked in violation of this provision are subject to citation and a $97.00 fine (Failure to heed directions of an official sign).

Students, Faculty, Staff

All Students and Staff are required to have a permit to park at Honolulu Community College (Hon CC).

Permits are only sold at the Cashier's Office (Building 6, 1st Floor) between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm. Sales usually start 10 school days prior to the start of each semester. At the time of purchase, Students must:

  • Have paid tuition and fees in FULL or enroll in a Payment Plan
  • Present a valid and current Driver's License
  • Complete and sign a parking permit application (available at the Cashier's Office)
  • Present an official and valid State of Hawaii Disability Parking ID Card for Disability Parking

Permit Fees

  • Student: $20 per semester
  • Apprenticeship: $20 per semester
  • Faculty/Staff: $25 per semester
  • Motorcycle Permits: $5.00 per semester

Regulations

HonCC parking permit holders must adhere to the following:

  • Parking on campus is only allowed while conducting official Hon CC business.
  • Parking permit must be hung from the vehicle rear view mirror, with the pass type and term visible through the front windshield.
  • Vehicle must be parked in a marked stall.
  • Parking is only allowed in the authorized Lots and during the authorized hours listed below:

Failure to comply with any of the above will be cause for citation by campus security.

Liability

All owners and operators of motor vehicles parked or operated on campus shall assume the risk of, and the College or University shall not be responsible or liable for, any loss or damage occasioned by fire, theft, or other casualty to motor vehicles or any contents within.
