Early Alert
MYSUCCESS TRANSITIONING TO INSTRUCTOR SUPPORT APP IN FALL 2021
Mahalo for your continued support in using MySuccess as a tool to support your students. We have some exciting news to share with you! Starting Fall 2021, MySuccess will be transitioning to the Instructor Support App for kudos and flags.
Why? The contract between UH and MySuccess concluded at the end of Spring 2021.
What does this mean? Spring 2021 was the last semester that the UH system used MySuccess.
Starting Fall ’21 the Instructor Support App will take the place of MySuccess for kudos and flags.
How will it work? You will receive an email when the survey opens. In this email, you will be given a unique link to the Instructor Support App that displays your class roster. DO NOT delete this email. Throughout the semester, you will use your link to update, edit, or refer students to CARE for support.
On this display, you will be able to raise a Kudos or Referral.
Kudos: Praise students for a job well done.
Referral: refer students to follow up directly with you or refer students to speak to the CARE office and other support services.
Will CARE services/support change? No, our services and support for students will not change. CARE will still follow up with your students if it is requested. If you would like CARE to be involved, be sure to select the “Contact Instructor and CARE” under the Follow Up column and include your comments so we have a better understanding of your specific concerns.

Don’t Cancel Class
If you can’t be in class, the College Achievement and Retention Experience (C.A.R.E.) can cover your class by presenting on a number of topics that are relevant to our students. Presentations are typically 20-60 minutes in length, depending on the presentation and your class’s schedule. We are also happy to take attendance if you wish. Even if you don’t need to cancel, we would love the opportunity to briefly tell your class about the services that we provide.
Here are some of the topics that are available:
- Creating a Success Plan
- Tips when applying for Financial Aid
- Time Management
- Effective Study Strategies
- Effective Presentations
