At HonCC, we offer the most diverse curriculum in the University of Hawai‘i Community College system and programs that span the fields of transportation, construction, communication, and services. Each of our programs maintains strong ties with their respective industries through the use of Industry Advisory Committees.
Many of HonCC’s program facilities and training equipment are considered world-class. Where appropriate, programs also hold local and national certifications and some have been awarded national recognition. In addition, a large number of our instructors have either worked or are currently working in their fields. This means you will have an opportunity to learn what it’s actually like to work in the industry. Our faculty and staff have strong connections with employers and unions, so you’ll learn the necessary skills or earn certifications that will enable you to stand out among other applicants in your chosen career.

If you’re unsure as to which program best fits your background and interests, take the RIASEC test! RIASEC codes are a way of classifying people according to their interests so that they can be matched with appropriate careers. Developed by Dr. John L. Holland, an academic psychologist, the theory proposes that there are six broad areas into which all careers can be classified. The six areas can be used to describe people, their personalities and interests. Simply answer a few quick and easy questions here and we’ll help point you in the right direction.
