Sign Up For New Student Registration
Step 1: Watch the Mandatory New Student Registration (NSR) Video
Step 2: Log into your UH Gmail account first and then complete the NSR Google Assessment Form to register.
Step 3: Your Academic Counselor will schedule a 1-on-1 appointment for you to register, so please check your UH Gmail Account (1-3 business days).
Hawaiian Studies (HWST) Students: Kahale Saito will schedule a one-on-one appointment (1-3 business days), so please check your UH Gmail Account. If you have questions call (808) 844-2345 or email hulilik@hawaii.edu.
Step 4: Attend your NSR appointment and register for classes. Your NSR hold will be removed during the appointment.

Step 6: Next Steps After Your Register
Here are some next steps after you register:
- Finalize your aid:
- VA Students – Fill out the Enrollment Certification Request Form to certify your classes after you register or contact Scot Parry sparry@hawaii.edu for more information.
- Financial Aid – Contact the Financial Aid Office if you have any questions (808) 845-9116 or email honccfao@hawaii.edu
- Refer to Lamakū for your online classes
- First day of instruction is on August 24, 2026
- Participation Verification (Attend First Week of Instruction): Students must attend or participate in their class to avoid being dropped from the class.
- Get your books
- Purchase your parking permit (for hybrid and in-person classes)

Step 7: Save the Date for the New Student Orientation (NSO) on August 19, 2026 from 8:00am-12:30pm. Registration assistance will be provided from 12:30pm-3:00pm if needed. Seats are limited so please sign up for New Student Orientation. More details to follow.
