Sign Up For New Student Registration
NSR First Week Message to Students
For the first week of the semester we will have online drop-in (first come first served) New Student Registration (NSR) sessions from Monday (January 13) to Friday (January 17) from 8am-3pm.
To complete NSR, watch the brief video below and complete our short Google form. Then, log into the NSR Kiosk during the set days/times listed above and an academic counselor will assist you with registration.

Step 1: Watch NSR Video
Step 2: Submit Google Form to complete a quick assessment (Form will be at the end of the NSR Video to sign up for a 1-on-1 appointment or group advising appointment with your counselor to register).
YOU MUST LOG INTO YOUR UH GMAIL ACCOUNT TO FILL OUT THE GOOGLE FORM TO REGISTER.
Step 3: Counselor will schedule a STAR Balance Appointment to assist with registration. Check your UH Gmail Account for the appointment confirmation (1-3 business days). If you cannot attend your scheduled appointment, send an email to honcouns@hawaii.edu or call 808-845-9162 to reschedule your appointment.
Native Hawaiian Students: The Native Hawaiian Center will schedule a STAR Balance Appointment to assist you with registration. Check your UH Gmail Account for the appointment confirmation (1-3 business days). If you cannot attend your scheduled appointment, send an email to the Hawaiian Center (hulilik@hawaii.edu) or call 808-844-2345 to reschedule your appointment.
Note: Registration for New Students will begin on November 15, 2024.
Step 4: Attend NSR appointment or group advising session and register for classes. Your NSR hold will be removed during the appointment.
