How to Apply
We are excited to have you join our Honolulu Community College (HonCC) ‘ohana!
If you are transferring within the UH System…
If you are currently attending another University of Hawai‘i System college (UH Mānoa, Hilo, West O‘ahu or any of the Community Colleges in Hawai‘i), please submit the Change of Home Institution Form. This form allows us to change your official record to reflect HonCC as your “home institution.” Your home institution should be the campus in which you intend on receiving your degree and any financial support (i.e. financial aid, veterans benefits). When you change your home campus, any funding awarded to you from your previous institution will be cancelled. Funding availability/award amounts may be different at your new institution.
For students previously enrolled
If you have had a break in enrollment from a UH System school, please complete our Online Application.

If you are transferring from outside the UH System…
If you are currently a student at another institution outside of the UH System, have had a break in enrollment from a UH System School, or have earned college credit outside of the UH System, please complete the Online Application. Check out our application video below for tips on completing the application. Note: Login required for online application. If this is your first time applying, you must create an account.
The deadline to submit your online application is:
- Fall term: August 1
- Spring term: December 15
- Summer term: May 1

Application Fees
There is no application fee for Hawai‘i Residents, Veterans (separated no more than 3 years from the military at the beginning of the term), or active duty Military or eligible Military Dependent Stationed in Hawai‘i.
There is a non-refundable $25 application fee for non-Hawai‘i residents. Learn more about Residency for Tuition Purposes.
